BA MAKEUP CO.  TERMS AND CONDITIONS

For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, the “Artist” refers to any Behrens Artistry., LLC., aka BA MAKEUP CO. Makeup Artist. The “Client” refers to the person named on the calendar/booking information. Once the deposit is received by BA MAKEUP CO., the Client agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.  

SERVICES: The type of services, number of services, date, and location of services provided by any BA MAKEUP CO.  Makeup Artists are agreed to by both parties, as stated in the agreed upon written quote/proposal provided by BA MAKEUP CO., once a deposit for that quote has been received. The Client must notify our office manager as soon as possible of any additional services required on the date. The Artist reserves the right to refuse services that are additional to those specified in the quote and not agreed to prior to the date of service. We do our best to meet the client’s requests however we cannot guarantee a specific artist for a booked service. It will be solely based on the artist’s availability.  Based on BA MAKEUP CO.’s discretion, we will assign the number of artist/s needed for the services. Additional artists may be added to a booking for additional charges and depending on artist availability. If for any reason your designated artist feels uncomfortable, or unsafe in the job situation, she is allowed to stop the service and leave the premises without a refund. Specific artists or requested artists are not guaranteed. 

BOOKINGS: To secure a service date (other than bridal services), payment in full is required upon receipt of the invoice. If we do not receive payment within 48 hours of the issued invoice the service will be terminated. Payment is non-refundable and non-transferable after three (3) days have elapsed from the date of payment receipt. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved once payment is received.

BRIDAL BOOKINGS: To secure a Bridal date, 50% of the balance is due immediately, and the remaining balance must be paid in full, 60 days before the requested service. If we do not receive a payment within 48 hours of the issued invoice, the service proposal will be terminated. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved once payment is received. Trial runs will be scheduled 2-4 WEEKS prior to your date, unless you are an out-of-town bride, exceptions can be made to accommodate your arrival. Trial runs forfeited will not result in a discounted price. 

BOOKING TIMES: Each makeup application requires a certain length of time to be finished, and is not to exceed the time limit due to client delays, either during or prior to makeup application. All persons involved in makeup appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointment. All makeup services for more than one person must be at the same location and consecutive in time.

DELAYS: A late fee of $20.00 will be charged for every 15 minutes of delay when a client is late for the scheduled time, or if the scheduled makeup exceeds allotted time because of client delays. 

COSMETIC SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT: When performing the Services, the Artist will use her own cosmetic supplies and equipment provided by BA MAKEUP CO. If the Client insists on using their own product to perform services, they cannot be guaranteed by BA MAKEUP CO. Artist for longevity or quality. The Client must have these conditions available for the Artist: power supply if requested, adequate natural lighting, and clean and safe conditions for the Artist to work in. If the Artist deems that the environment is not of adequate sanitary or safety standards to work in, the Artist reserves the right to refuse their services and the deposit will not be refunded or transferable. 

PAYMENT: The person responsible for the entire balance of the payment is the person who has agreed to the Terms & Conditions. Payment of services is to be made via a major credit card, PayPal, or Square.  No cash or check will be accepted on the date of service. 

OTHER EXPENSES: In the event of special makeup requests (such as special fx, rhinestones, accessories, etc.) there may be additional charges for the extra supplies and application. Service upgrades and add-ons (upon availability) are an additional fee and can be paid via credit card at the time of service. Cash tips are not required, but are much appreciated.

TRAVEL FEE: Travel fees may be incurred at the mileage or flat fee. This amount will be a minimum of $25-$50 (in the local area) or specified in the quote and is determined according to the location provided at the time of inquiry/booking. Additional charges may be applied after booking if: the location is outside the radius or if the service changes after the agreed-upon quote is given and/or the deposit is paid.  The Artist reserves the right to adjust the travel fee if the distance is increased or other travel expenses are incurred and we will bill the client if travel fees and other fees such as parking and mileage if needed even after the date of the client services. 

CANCELLATIONS: In the event the client cancels the services before the event, the client will not receive a refund of the payment.If BRIDAL CLIENTS cancel before 60 days of service date the remaining balance paid may be refunded. If within 60 days of the event, there will be no refund given. DEPOSITS for weddings are non-refundable and non-transferable..

OTHER CANCELLATION CIRCUMSTANCES: If any other extenuating circumstance (natural disaster, pandemic, other) gives cause to the rescheduling or cancellation of the services (bridal and non-bridal), the amount of the service will be transferred to another date or service for 100% of the value, but no refunds will be given and there will be 1-year expiration from the date of the original event. All Bridal services are non-transferable. 

RESCHEDULING FEES: Upon rescheduling fees will be applied and must be paid before adding to the calendar if there is availability. If you reschedule more than once, or more than 6 months or more have passed since the original appointment, with no contact you will forfeit your balance. There may also be more fees and increased pricing due to economic shifts, pricing changes, etc.  that will be billed accordingly. 

MAKEUP LESSONS: If you choose to cancel your lesson/appointment we can apply the amount toward our makeup courses or other services, but are not eligible for a full refund. 

LIMITATION ON LIABILITY: Client holds Artist harmless for any claim, loss, damage or injury to any person or property arising, either directly or indirectly, from artists performance.

LIABILITY: All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application.  Any skin condition should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application. Sanitation breaks will be taken between clients if needed to clean and sanitize brushes and supplies. Artists and clients are not liable for sickness, illness, viruses contracted or spread in client services. 

PRIVACY: The Artist takes the Client’s privacy seriously, and will not divulge or discuss any details regarding your booking or your personal details with anyone not directly connected with your booking. All details collected are for the sole purpose of providing the best possible service to the Client. The Artist will never knowingly give or sell your information to a third party.

USE OF IMAGES: The Artist may use on our website and/or in any advertising media it deems appropriate that is captured in photo by the Artist. The Client also agrees to release the name and contact information of professional photographers and/or videographers used for recording any event for which the Artist has been contracted to provide services for agreed to the Terms & Conditions. Payment of services is to be made via major credit card, PayPal or Square, or QUICKBOOKS.  No cash or check will be accepted on the date of service unless in a form of a tip.

These terms and conditions are in addition to the FAQ’s website, and scheduling software, and may differ slightly for bridal clients and other clients.
